Corthay is arguably one of France’s most dynamic shoemakers. His shoes are elegant and sophisticated, like small works of art. He began his shoemaking career at Les Compagnons du Tour de France, a venerable crafts guild. He later worked for John Lobb Paris before taking over as atelier head at Berluti. In 1990 he struck out on his own and has not looked back.

In 2010 he was awarded the honor of “Master of Art” by the government of France. The Master of Art designation of France, while not widely known in the US, is not bestowed lightly. In short, it means that the individual or firm is a cultural icon.

Corthay is arguably one of France’s most dynamic shoemakers. His shoes are elegant and sophisticated, like small works of art.

Duret has been making exceptional leather goods and belts for over 20 years, paying particular attention to using the highest-quality leathers.

Completely handmade in their Parisian workshop, Duret belts are crafted with full leather lining, silk or linen thread, and a solid brass buckle. All stitching is done by hand, using a thread in the color you select. Belts are available in traditional leathers such as calfskin, lambskin, and goatskin, as well as exotics like alligator, ostrich, and python. With over 200 options for made-to-order, you’ll be sure to find the perfect choice.

Duret also specializes in leather goods. From wallets and card cases to briefcases and bags, anything is possible. Made for yourself or as a gift, Duret will craft a luxurious piece of exceptional quality.

Edward Green offers a variety of options when creating a pair of custom made shoes or boots. First, select the model you’d like to create, whether it’s the classic Chelsea captoe oxford or the RAF-inspired Kentmere boot. Next, choose the last — or the shape — you prefer, and pair it with the leather and soles of your choice.

Edward Green’s offerings are strictly made to order. That is, the fit is not customizable. They do not offer bespoke shoes or fit adjustments. That said, we find Edward Greens fit the majority of our customers very well.

Cut by hand from the world’s finest leathers, each pair of Edward Greens is made in our Northampton workshop according to the same principles that have guided us for over a century. Crafted and honed with unerring attention to detail our shoes embody the timeless elegance of quintessentially English style.

We're still based in Northampton and have over sixty skilled artisans making around 350 pairs of shoes a week, many for export to the world's leading boutiques and department stores as well as our own shops in  London and Paris.

We continue to strive to make the best shoes possible, refining and improving where appropriate, but always taking  our time to ensure that each pair of shoes is fit to bear our founder’s  name and dress another generation of men who appreciate the difference.

We love classic shoes, but sometimes you need  to mix things up. Gaziano & Girling makes classic styles with modern  detailing. They are sleek, elegant, and altogether English.

The  shoes you find below are available only by custom order. You can  customize them all, from leather to last and sole. They ship in  approximately twelve to sixteen weeks. Like other good things, they’re  worth the wait.

Hiro visits our store every spring to take orders. He does not accept bespoke commissions at our trunk shows. We do not accept orders for Hiro’s shoes outside of trunk shows.

Made-to-order shoes are made on Hiro’s standard lasts developed using Hiro’s years of experience. During the trunk show, Hiro will guide you to the best size and last for your foot type.

You will be able to select the model, leather, and sole from Hiro’s many available options.

The shoes do not include any trial fittings. Lace-ups, loafers, and elastic-sided shoes can be made to order.

Made-to-measure shoes help accommodate foot shapes that do not fit well in Hiro’s standard lasts. Using a standard last as starting point, Hiro will modify it to better fit your foot. This is more cost-efficient than bespoke, which requires creating a last from scratch. Hiro does not take bespoke orders at our trunk shows.

Any style of shoe can be made to measure.

Hiro is an extraordinary, meticulous craftsman in the fine tradition of English style and shoemaking. He moved to England in 1995, where he graduated first in his class from the prestigious London’s Cordwainer’s College.

He then learned the techniques of bespoke shoemaking at John Lobb. Upon returning to Tokyo, Hiro started his own brand in 1999. The rest is history.

Norman Vilalta is a classically trained shoemaker with a modern eye for detail. All of Norman’s shoes are unique creations that attest to his love of creating beautiful objects. They’re truly pieces of art, and Norman is a true artist, taking inspiration from sources as varied as Ferran Adrià to contemporary Nike sneakers.

Norman studied and practiced law for a number of years, but at 31 decided he wanted to pursue something that truly motivated him. In 2002, he moved from his home in Argentina to Florence, where he trained in the Stefano Bemer workshop. Since then he’s been crafting shoes in his workshop in Barcelona.

Thomas Riemer gloves are handmade in Hungary by highly skilled craftspeople with years of experience. He offers both hand- and machined-stitched gloves. His hand-sewn gloves are crafted by seamstresses who previously worked with his father, and the machine stitched gloves are produced on vintage sewing machines. Thomas uses only the finest skins, hand-selecting each with meticulous care for the finest quality and construction.

Thomas Riemer bags are crafted from a thicker version of the same leathers used for their gloves. They’re made in a family-owned workshop in northern Italy. The bags are soft, supple, and lightweight, yet sturdy enough to last years and age beautifully.

Thomas Riemer is based in Austria, where he operates the oldest glove shop in Vienna, which was founded in 1845. He entered the glove business in his early 20s to work alongside his father, Erwin Riemer, co-owner of the Austrian glove company RIKA. Erwin founded RIKA in the '60s with a partner. They produced fashion and sports gloves in workshops in Austria and Hungary.

RIKA ceased business in 2001, when Erwin passed away. Thomas, who had been their European sales director, stepped away from the glove industry until six years later, when the owners of Vienna's oldest glove shop asked if he wanted to take over their business. By this time Austrian glove makers were nearly extinct, and Thomas was eager to continue the tradition.
